It’s pouring today! London has been basking in the sun since early June, but today it’s been bucketing. Clearly the skies were merely storing up waiting till we were all lulled into a false sense of summer.
At least there’s thunder and lightning. Lots of it. My cats keep coming over to me to ask when it’s going to be over, because they’ve had quite enough thank you. Fortunately they’re big girls and generally just look a bit cross that they can’t go outside, rather than hiding like scaredies. The one thing that really worries me is my garden! We just had about ten minutes of intense hail which could have shattered my tomatoes.
Could have. But look what they did to my potatoes!

wow that was yesterday!! It was crazy!! Did the tomatoes survive??
While I feel your plant pain, I must say that I am jealous of your storm. Thunderstorms are one of the few things I miss about living in the Midwest US. Every once in a while there will be one in Oregon, but they are so weak.
