Ooops I totally forgot to post a pic of my delicious Apple and Gooseberry Pie made from my first crop of gooseberries!
I made it last weekend as a treat for me and my love and then me and Emmms finished it off on Monday!
Such an easy treat! I cheated and used ready made pastry ( I did roll it, shape it and blind bake it though! It was my weekend off!)
but the filling was all me!
6 apples, a half pint of gooseberries, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, a teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg went into a pan with a squeeze of lemon and lime and cooked for a good 45 mins until soft gooey and sweet.
This all went into the pastry case and baked at 200c for 30 mins.
It was scrummy!!!
