crafty people!

28 Oct

Anyone heard of The Make Lounge ? I hadn’t until I was given their flyer by a friend last night.

I checked them out on the web and they seem pretty cool! They organise crafty workshops where you can learn about knitting and sewing and crafts of all sorts. Tomorrow they have 2.5 hours of turning a plastic carrier bag into a tote bag or wallet! Sounds amazing! But pricy! However you do get the materials and stuff. I am so jealous of those attending tomorrow! I think I now need to know how to make a plastic bag tote bag! I’ll look some more into them and find out what other crafty plans they have!

Hi guys – we have other workshop dates for knickers – they’re up on the web site.

Our prices are quite reasonable for a fun night out – we include expert teaching, materials, plus coffee, tea, wine and nibbles. We have a great time – plus take home a stylish completed project.

Hope you’ll come see us soon. Here’s our Flickr site if you want to see more: http://www.flickr.com/photos/meetpeople-makestuff/

I went to a Make workshop to make my hot water bottle cover and had a great idea. I want to do knickers and the plastic bag one as well…

Should we try and see how many people are interested and get some places on the knickers one? It just sounds so fantastic!

There are still quite a few places on the next weeknight workshop. Saturdays seem to sell out very quickly.
