girl on the rocks — a kind of mini-review

10 Jan

I was having a bit of a peruse through Etsy this morning — what a splendid place it is; it fills my heart with a gladness and empties my wallet in one fell swoop — and rediscovered one of my favourite on-line artisans Girl on the Rocks.

Due to my peculiar love of all things mustachioed, she had been recommended to me several times before I ever went in search of her wares myself. But it wasn’t until my dear friend Robynn presented me with a set of monstrous moustaches

and I swooned with delight that I finally sought her out.

Aren’t I glad I did? Girl on the Rocks, aka Karrie, is awesome. It turns out she not only creates moustache-themed curios but stitchmarkers, rovings, needle cases and gift cards, too!

I ordered a small selection of mustachioed goods from her, including a couple of lavender ‘stache sachets, immediately.

She was a little nervous about sending ‘stinky herbs’ overseas, but they arrived less than a week later without causing a wrinkle in Customs’ collective nose. Probably because the scent is strong without being overpowering, perfect for protecting your ‘stache stash from unwanted critters. As soon as the exchange rate stops being quite so bollocksing awful, I plan to stock up on them, as nothing says ‘I love you’ like a pair of hand-knit socks and a mustachio-printed lavender sachet.

She currently has a set of mustachioed stamps for sale that is making me rethink my food budget for next week.

Surely this seller only exists because you exist? What beautiful serendipity!
