how it comes together

When Alice of soon-to-be-Socktopus-of-Stash fame announced she was having a 30% off sale, did dreams of delicate reign-merging cardigans with Elizabethan collars and Victorian shaping dance in my head?

Oh yes. And now, with the help of 4 whole skeins of Hazel Knits Lively DK, that dream will become a reality!

Even though neither Lou nor I are ever able to get out there as much as we’d like, the Socktoshop has been one of our very favourite places in all London ever since it opened. It’s home not just to an amazing selection of carefully chosen yarns and bags and books and tools, but Alice, too. You could never feel out of place at Socktopus; it’s one of those lovely pockets of friendly and kind in a city that often seems cynically affronted by anything involving (com)passion. While I’m sad that the Socktoshop will no longer be, I’m so excited that Alice and Natalie have decided to join forces. It’s like Wonderwoman and Storm coming together in a evil-destroying hurricane of awesome. But yarnier.
