A Celebration of Emmms

14 Apr

As today is Emmms 30th birthday I wanted to take some time out to celebrate, what I would say are, the best 5 of her knitting designs!!!

She has been designing knitted items for years and has not only designed for the likes of Alice Yu at Socktopus but has also came 3rd runner up in Katie and Kyliemac’s knitting competition with her mitts ‘In Paris’!!

Emmms has such an eye for stitch patterns and great fibre combinations that I cannot help to just love everything she designs, so without further delay here we go!

5: Under The Tree

Cute and very popular, these owly mitts are just ‘tree’mendous

4: Posie Dishcloth

So simple and so quick to knit, however if you are anything like me you will find it hard to use it to clean dishes!!

3: Heart Strings

Emmms inspiration for these socks was her friend’s medical studies and I just love the blood red colour and the twisting cables

2: Norfolk Ramblers

A beautiful tribute to her grandfather, these delicate and intricate socks are my favourite of all of her sock designs

1: Eunoia Tunic

The most perfect example of her knitting genius, the extra long cowl neck, the puff of the sleves and the brilliant touch of the cable running down the centre make Eunoia my favourite of Emmm’s designs

Please, please, pretty please emmms, desgin a shawl!!!!!!

Happy, happy birthday!!!!!

Happy Birthday! Enjoy every moment of it. It’s the one day a year when it really is all about you.
